Barry Hay announces the first live performance of "Just Like Vince Taylor", b-side to their single Radar Love. When Golden Earring took to the stage on this night, they were introducing Moontan material to the London audience for the first time. Although limited to a 40-minute set, they pack a serious punch into the time allotted. Note the setlist was also performed on the second night (october 06, 1973). Vanilla Queen was omitted from the setlist (Reason for the song change in setlist was unkown.George did tell that he voted in favour of Vanilla Queen but he lost) fans reported. Watcha Gonna Do (When The Levee Breaks) is back again and Skyscraper Hell Of A Town is taken out. As noted at last weeks Steenwijk show the final total was extended with one. This made the show longer as Vanilla Queen was an extra song and a lenghty one. The Fijnaart show now has the usual time length and the same amount of songs again. I guess this is the reason for changing the setlist again. George performed this show for the very first time on a Purple/Blue PRS McCarty guitar instead of his BC Rich which he always uses on stage. Reason for this change is yet unknown. Special guest Boris van der Lek on saxophone.

Special info: Special guest Boris van der Lek. During the soundcheck at least Bombay and Twilight Zone were rehearsed. George performing on BC Rich guitar again. After encores the band members left stage seperately without the usual "You know we love you". Fans reported some sound problems during Beverwijk show. Georges voice couldn't be heard sometimes as well as "flat" guitar sound. This might be the reason for the unusal end of show. Around this time (maybe Beverwijk was the first time) the band added saxophone to Leather as well.

Fans also mentioned poor sound at this concert due to beer thrown into the sound mixer. Rinus performed on a new bass guitar at this show (3 or 4 songs) He told fans backstage he bought an old guitar body on the internet in the USA and a Dutch company made a new neck for it. The guitar looked (and sounded) great!

The song Temptation ended in an a capella version due to fire alarm at the venue which cut off the power supply of the instruments! Although the fire alarm Slow whoop sounded and the warning signs switched on nobody left the venue and sang along a capella with Frank Carillo. The song Hand Jive was performed again at the encores. Special info: 75 minute festival set. For this festival The Devil Made Me Do It and Liquid Soul were left out of the usual 90 minute set. With special guest Jan Rooymans on Roland keyboards. Other acts at the festival: Kane, Network.

Special info: At the Vlaardingen acoustic show two new songs were performed called Flowers In The Mud and The Beauty and The Beast! The Beauty and The Beast is kind of prelimenary title as the words are part of the lyrics but no official title for the song yet, it seems. Golden Earring rehearsed for their new acoustic theatre show a day earlier at the Vlaardingen theatre as well. Besides a new setlist the band also introduced a new stage setup and new lighting show with the use of fronts and ends of all-timers hanging behind the band. An interview was given for De Vlaardinger newspaper and some great photo's to go with the interview were made.

Vlaardingen concert review on Golden Earring forum by Ineke: Terug van Vlaardingen show. Het decor is anders, Cesar zit op een auto met zijn drumstel en de voor en achterkanten van Cadillac`s zie je iedere keer licht heel mooi ook op de auto`s. De setlist was flink door elkaar gehusseld zoals Daan zei, maar nog niet goed genoeg, met alleen husselen kom je er niet. Het enige wat nieuw was aan de setlist waren 2 nieuwe nummers. Eerste was Flowers in The Mud, moet ik aan wennen en denk flink ook. Teveel herhalingen van zinnen bv aan het einde met een riedel er bij natuurlijk 11x achter elkaar Flowers In The Mud. Tweede was the Beauty And The Beast: mooi nummer met mooi stuk van Sjors er in, dit vond ik gelijk mooi. Het geluid was hardstikke goed en Barry had zijn praatjes wel klaar op het podium. Al met al een leuk concert, op naar zaterdag in Den Haag.

Special info: The band received the first copies of their new cd Tits 'N Ass out of the hand of Ronald Plasterk who introduced the band, but his speech was full of errors! Special guests for this show were Jan Rooymans on keyboards and Hans Klein on additional guitar. This was announced as cd-release show. Show included 7 songs from the album and 4 already known songs. This was not a full length show as usual. Show was a Dutch Radio 2 sponsored showcase.
