LAST UPDATE: June 15, 2003

Dan Lynch is born August 16, 1960. (This date is actually the birthday of Barry Hay, but also the day Elvis died on!) He became a fan in 1977 when his brother Bill (aka Slats) gave him Golden Earring Live for Christmas. Saw them as the back up band for Aerosmith at the old Boston Garden in December of 1978. They were great!!!!

Asking him for more info Dan wrote me by email: "Growing up an Earring fan in the USA was tough, because they are just not recognized here for some strange reason. The internet changed everything for me. Just being able to get some info on the band was nice. I decided to make a web site dedicated to the band, mainly because I wanted to learn how to make a web page. George had seen it and wrote to me and that's when everything really started with my personal relationship with the band."

"I took a trip to Holland in 1997 and had one of the times of my life. Saw the band 3 times while I was there and met them after each show. It was a great experience. After a chat session that Barry Hay was part of, he and I have also kept in contact."

"Have a tough time picking a favorite album and song because there are so many to choose from and I love most of them. However, with my latest experience in Millbrook, that one is extra special to me. Of all the requests that the band got while in Millbrook, I was fortunately the only one that they invited to the studio. I had started a video production business a few months earlier. I brought one of my cameras along just to get some footage. George let me shoot some video at this time, which was June of 2002. They were working on the song Coming In Going Out at the time. I had a discussion with Rinus about the business and he in turn talked to George about what I could do. George had e-mailed me asking me if I would be interested in filming when they returned to Millbrook in October. Of course I said yes. That's basically how I got the Millbrook job."
